Updates from Hurricane Irene

"ZNS just reported some devastating damage in Mayaguana, Acklins and Crooked Island so far....eye goes over Cat Island around 10 p.m. and our worst on Eleuthera is supposed to be between 4 a.m. to 10 a.m. as a Cat 4 with 130 mph winds".

Please keep the people of the Bahamas and all effected by the Hurricane in your prayers.

We will be assessing the damage of Eleuthera Island on Saturday afternoon; when Abraham McIntyre (Exec. Director of BMH) and other BMH staff return to the island. Then we will be able to let you know how to best respond from wherever you are.

We will be able to send updates, information, and pictures through this blog. So please be checking and subscribing to this blog for more information. We may have slow response to emails and Facebook messages due to the overwhelming support we are receiving.

Thank you for all your prayers, support, and encouraging words.
